Cinnamon Island Dover stands out as a premier destination for lovers of authentic Indian cuisine in the heart of Dover. Located conveniently at 1 Cambridge Rd, this modern Indian restaurant and takeaway masterfully blends traditional flavors with contemporary dining experiences, creating a destination that delights all senses.

Stepping inside Cinnamon Island, guests are welcomed by a warm and attentive service team dedicated to delivering a memorable meal. While the pace is measured, ensuring each dish is freshly prepared, the effort shines through in the vibrant aromas and rich colors presented on every plate. The atmosphere strikes a pleasant balance between casual comfort and an elegant setting, highlighted by thoughtful touches like complimentary Baileys shots and After Eight chocolates that leave a lasting impression.

The menu is a treasure trove of Indian culinary delights that cater to a diverse range of palates and dietary needs. From aromatic Biryani that melds fragrant basmati rice with robust spices, to the tangy and satisfying Jalfrezi, each dish bursts with complex layers of flavor. The Bombay Potato offers a comforting blend of spices and textures, while the Paneer Curry and Lamb Tikka Masala stand as hearty, soul-warming staples.

Vegetable lovers will find joy in specialties such as the Sabzi Niramish Jallfrezi, a garden-fresh medley of vegetables and spinach stewed in a vibrant gravy of fresh herbs and spices, and the creamy, mild Malai Sabzi Masala, which skillfully balances coconut cream and butter with delicate Indian herbs. For those seeking something smoky and unique, the Baingan Ki Bahar smoked aubergine offers a tantalizing depth of flavor.

To complete the meal, indulging in desserts like the Fantastica—with its crisp chocolate base layered with vanilla and caramel ice creams drizzled in caramel sauce—provides a sweet, decadent finish. The availability of gluten-free and vegan options further enhances the restaurant’s inclusive approach, making it a welcoming choice for guests with varied dietary preferences.

The beverage selection complements the menu beautifully, featuring interesting options such as Bangla Beer, the crisp Peacock Apple Cider, and a non-alcoholic King Fisher Zero lager, catering to every guest’s taste.

Patrons consistently praise Cinnamon Island for its authentic flavors and thoughtful service. Vikki Baker highlights the “best mango chutney” she’s ever tasted and appreciates the fresh, attentive preparation. Ida Wrona notes the accommodating nature towards allergies and the true mildness of milder dishes, while Ruby Stephens and Holly commend the friendly service and generous portions, even suggesting the ambiance could be enhanced with warmer lighting for an even more inviting experience. Raziman T.V. speaks to the authenticity and robust spices, emphasizing the genuine Indian dining experience despite slightly higher prices.

In sum, Cinnamon Island Dover is a culinary gem that skillfully marries authentic Indian flavors with welcoming, polished service. Whether dining in or opting for takeaway, guests can expect vibrant dishes that celebrate the richness of Indian spices and culinary tradition—an experience that promises to satisfy both the adventurous and the comfort-seeking diner alike.

One of the best curry's I've had in the UK. Let me start with the eat in service isn't the fastest but the staff is attentive and everything is made fresh. We led with popadams and the pickle selection. Presented well and delicious! Probably the best mango chutney I've had. We got the magic mushrooms, which take a while to make. They are battered mushrooms stuffed with chicken tiki, onions and brea crumbs with a delicious sauce over the top. Next was the hot and spicy prawns in onion and pepper sauce. Three large prawns in their house made spicy goo was so good, I'd order it again now. If you like spicy, this is your plate. It's a builder and does the job. We had Dahl and garlic Naan on the side and it was the perfect addition to the meal. When we get back to Dover, we will be stopping in again.

Fabulous Indian restaurant with plenty of Gluten Free and Vegan options! The food was delicious, I ordered Mild options and they were actually mild (in some places they are still too spicy for me). The service was nice and informative (I asked multiple questions regarding my allergies and they kindly answered all my questions). I will be back!

Had a lovely meal at Cinnamon Island. The food was delicious and flavourful. Best Indian restaurant in the area! Staff were so attentive and polite. The only thing I’d change is maybe some warm lighting. We were served a complimentary shot of Baileys and an After Eight chocolate mint, which were served in beautiful glasses and plates. Really excellent food and service. Will be coming back again!

Authentic food. Went there for lunch on a holiday. The curry, grill dishes and the biriyani all felt very authentic. The spice level might be a bit stronger than locals are accustomed to. Atmosphere was all right and the service was fine too. Felt the price was a bit on the higher side, but no complaints about the portion sizes.
